Change starting date of insurance

Q: I applied for health insurance
online. I wanted the effective date of coverage to be September 7, not
today. I apparently erred in filling in the online form. How can this
be corrected?
A: Just call the insurance
company to cancel the errant coverage without charge and make a new
application with the correct starting date online at
www.FreedomBenefits.com.
Since these policies are issued immediately when you apply and printed
with the policy date included in the document and ID card, it is not
possible to change a policy date after a policy is issued.
