Comparing Golden Rule insurance

Q: What is the difference between Golden Rule "HSA 100" and "Plan 100"? The Plan 100 is less expensive at the same premium but I see no difference in coverage.

A: Both plans provide 100% coverage after the deductible is met. The difference is in how the deductibles are calculated. An HSA plan must have one deductible for everyone under the policy. Most other insurance policies like "Plan 100" use a per person deductible. At the higher deductibles of $5,000 or more Golden Rule Insurance tends to be one of the lowest priced renewable insurance policies for healthy applicants available in most U.S. locations. Golden Rule Insurance is a UnitedHealthcare company. See the online services for pricing and enrollment details.
